STUdents targeted in phishing scam

template

This is fresh from the tech guys at STU:

An unauthorized email purporting to be from the St. Thomas Help Desk is

making the rounds. This email asks you to reply with your date of birth
username and password. It is very important you *do not* respond to
this email. This is an obvious attempt at identity theft.

The email indicates that it is from “IT Help Desk” with an
googlemail.com email address. STU ITS would not issue communications
from such an address.

If you have responded to this email your personal information may be at
risk. In the event you have responded, please contact the STU ITS
Helpdesk immediately ( its@stu.ca) and we will help you change your
passwords.
