We recognize and respectfully acknowledge that the land on which The Aquinian is situated is the un-surrendered and unceded traditional territory of the Wolastoqiyik.

The Aquinian, St. Thomas University’s Official Student Publication, is student-owned and operated.

The Aquinian aims to foster a sense of community at STU by developing and promoting dialogue.

The online edition of The Aquinian is published weekly during the academic year.

Letters to the Editor must be submitted by Friday at 5 p.m. to ensure its publication in the following issue. All submissions must have your full name attached. The Aquinian’s editorial board reserves the right to reject letters and edit for content, clarity, brevity and length.

The opinions expressed in these publications are those of the writers, and may not be representative of The Aquinian, its editorial board or its board of directors.

Fernanda Sanchez is a fourth-year journalism student from Managua, Nicaragua. She started with The Aquinian as a volunteer writer in her second year and continued as the arts editor last year. She enjoys writing all types of reviews, from music albums to live theatre. She's also interested in photojournalism. Outside of journalism, she enjoys watching movies with her friends. News Editor

Polina Kozlova is a second-year student from Kherson, Ukraine, majoring in Journalism, Communications & Public Policy, and Digital Media & Creative Arts. She is passionate about storytelling, social issues, and the arts. She is also a published poet. Polina loves uncovering diverse perspectives and turning complex topics into engaging stories. Suzanne Shah is a third-year student at St. Thomas University majoring in Journalism, Communications and Public Policy and Digital Media & Creative Arts. She sees journalism as a space where creativity and truth meet, blending her love for content creation with her passion for reporting. Suzanne began with The Aquinian as a volunteer writer and now steps into the role of Features Editor, where she brings curiosity, depth, and fresh perspective to every story. Suzanne hopes to pursue a career in multimedia journalism as a hijabi journalist, shaping narratives that are as dynamic and diverse as the communities around her. Malachi Lefurgey is a third-year student from Hamilton, Ontario. Double majoring in Journalism and Law, Politics and Society. Malachi really got into journalism after being recommended Joan Didion, a journalist and writer.
