<p>After months of waiting, the opening day of the new National Hockey League (NHL) season has finally come and gone.   For hockey fans, the opening day of the NHL season is a time for new beginnings, especially if your team did not perform well last season. <p>In terms of a spectacle, the 2022 World Cup was arguably the best of all time. The tournament had everything from major upsets and Cinderella stories to players having their “last dance” and even new storylines being forged along the way. <p>We are halfway through the tournament and there have been some remarkable stories coming out of the group stage at the 2022 World Cup.  The big hitters, like world rank #2 Belgium and #11 Germany, got on the first flight out of Qatar, while Japan, Australia and South Korea managed a longer stay. <p>A week ago, the Beijing 2022 Paralympics wrapped up. The ten day spectacle displayed 78 events across six sports: alpine skiing, biathlon, cross-country skiing, para ice hockey, snowboarding and wheelchair curling. Over 500 athletes from 46 countries descended upon the same facilities that the Olympic games used just weeks before. Canada’s athletes brought home 25 [&hellip;]</p>

<p>After 19 days of competition and 109 events across 15 sports, 2,871 athletes representing 91 countries will be heading home. The XXIV Winter Olympic Games have come to a close. These Olympics were broadcasted in over 220 countries. Including advertising rights, over a billion dollars were generated for the International Olympic Committee by these games. [&hellip;]</p>

<p>As Norway begins to separate itself from the competition in terms of medal count, Canada leads all countries at Beijing 2022 in the most bronze medal count with nine. Canada’s lone gold medal comes from snowboarder Max Parrot in the slopestyle event. Five of Canada’s 14 medals are from snowboarding events – more than any [&hellip;]</p>

<p>The Beijing National Stadium, better known as the Bird’s Nest, hosted the opening ceremony for the 2022 Winter Olympic Games on Feb. 4.
