Most of New Brunswick was hit with strong winds and heavy snowfall on Saturday. According to Environment Canada, south-central parts of the province, including the Fredericton region, saw up to 40 centimetres of snow.

The harsh weather meant slick roads, store closures and even power outages in some areas.

The Aquinian’s photo editor, Aaron Sousa, braved the storm to showcase the snow-covered streets of Fredericton.
