The City of Fredericton advises motorists that Forest Hill Road and MacLaren Avenue have both reopened to traffic.  Both were closed for several weeks due to construction.

Forest Hill Road was closed from the intersection of Waterloo Row and Beaverbrook Street to the intersection of Forest Acres Court for ten weeks for the replacement of the water and sanitary sewer system.

MacLaren Avenue was closed from School Street and Forbes Street for five weeks to allow construction crews to perform infrastructure upgrades.  While the street will be fully open during peak hours, traffic restrictions will occur periodically to facilitate curbing and paving operations for the remainder of the week.

The City of Fredericton Engineering & Public Works Department thanks motorist and residents for the patience and cooperation during the construction period.

The Princess Margaret Bridge is expected to reopen in October.
