This week the city of Moncton is hosting their first ‘Intelligent Communities Summit’.

The 3 day conference brings leaders of Canada’s technology industry to Atlantic Canada to discuss  how current and upcoming technology are shaping our communities.  Guests include representatives from HP, Motorola, Cisco, and the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Associtation.  Members of civil and provincial government are also on hand to share stories of technological successes, and some of the challenges they are facing.

The keynote speaker this year is Rahaf Harfoush.  Ms. Harfoush was part of the team that ran Barack Obama’s social media campaign in the last presidential election.

Next week we will be featuring a story on just what kind of future these technological big-wigs have planned for us.
