An Open Letter to Justin Brown:

Dear Justin,

What exactly are you trying to tell your fellow students? Is this meant as satire; I for one don’t find it funny when you say an art’s degree is useless. Why even bother going to school here if that’s true. The saddest part is that that statement isn’t even the most ridiculous one you make in your article.

For me, my biggest fear isn’t failure. It’s becoming so concerned with being accepted that I forgo everything else in my life just so I can be one of the “cool kids”.

Sincerely,

Caleb “Just being me” Burns

Response to Leanne Osmond’s column

Yes, yes, men are rational, logical creatures. Women are complicated, cryptic, jealous, petty and unable to be happy for one another. We’re all exposed to hurtful stereotypes like these enough, they need not be repeated in the school paper.

Sincerely,

Katrin MacPhee
