University closed due to weather conditions

St. Thomas University closed at 2:3o p.m. today due to a snowstorm that is expected to dump 20 centimeters of snow on the city.

University spokesperson Jeffrey Carleton said the cafeteria and study hall in McCain hall will remain open. University of New Brunswick confirmed the Harriet Irving Library  is keeping regular hours today.

A sign on the door says the J. B. O’Keefe Fitness Centre will closed early at 5:30 p.m.

The computer lab in JDH closed at 2:30 p.m.

For those in journalism, the equipment room at CBC will be closed this evening. Bookings are extended for 24 hours.

One professor told students they still needed to attend a 2:30-5:20 class but university administration said students are not expected to attend and there will be no academic penalty for not going since the university is closed.
