<p>STU&#8217;s Relay for Life event is tonight, March 27, from 7 pm to 7 am. The event will take place in George Martin Hall, Sir James Dunn Hall and the courtyard. The Relay for Life raises money for the Canadian Cancer Society. This society focuses their energy and money in five areas: research, advocacy, prevention, [&hellip;]</p>

<p>The sale of NB Power to Hydro-Quebec died suddenly this week, either Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning. Shawn Graham delivered its eulogy at about 10:30 Wednesday morning. <p>Greetings readers. On March 17 I attended the annual Desmond Pacey Lecture at UNB. This year&#8217;s lecture was titled &#8220;The Future of First Nations in Atlantic Canada&#8221; and it was given by Chief Noah Augustine of the Metepenagiag (Mi&#8217;kmaq) First Nation. <p>Jamie Ross &#8211; The Aquinian &#8211; Just days after about 1, 000 people turned out to the provincial legislature to protest the sale of NB Power&#8217;s generating assets to Hydro-Quebec,  Premier Shawn Graham said this morning the energy deal has been cancelled. Graham said in a press release that Hydro-Quebec &#8220;asked for changes to the agreement that [&hellip;]</p>

<p>NOTE: Since writing the column over the weekend, the province and Hydro-Quebec cancelled the NB Power sale. That said, the basic point of this column is still relevent. <p>The Aquinian &#8211; The fire alarms in Chatham Hall were set off a few hours ago when a piece of machinery burnt out. Residence Life informed TheAQ that there was no actual fire.  The smell and smoke were caused by the motor in one of the laundry room machines failing.
